Self Reflection
As I have studied the coursework within this class one main ideal was solidified within my mind. That was the idea of having confidence in whatever you do. As I interviewed General Funk and gave my speech showing confidence was a goal I wanted to accomplish. Beyond the confidence however, this class has taught me about the different styles of communication and how everyone doesn't always use the same methods and can be misunderstood.
Those two ideas will help as I continue any career that I choose and also now in school it will allow me to try to understand exactly what my fellow students are trying to communicate instead of just assuming I know what they are saying. It will also help me in communicating exactly what I am wanting to communicate to professors. This way they won't hate me and have a bias against me for not properly showing respect.
Favorite Assignment My favorite assignment in this class was for sure the interview. I liked it because the person I interviewed was a very powerful man in the United States Army and I got an adrenaline high as I began the interview. It was awesome to overcome that high and stay on point with the interview. |
